<p><strong>I love this commercial because:</strong> Just when you think the ad is over, it comes back and surprises you. It also takes a competitor’s ad idea (scrubbing bubbles) and uses it against them.</p>
<p><strong>This ad and YOUR personal brand: </strong> Think about what makes your offering better than the offerings of your peers or competitors and highlight it in all your marketing. You don’t need to make a direct attack on your competition, but you can highlight what makes you/your offering better.</p>

<p><strong>Commercial Break &#8211; Nissan: Polar Bear Hug</strong></p>
<p><strong>I love this commercial because:</strong> As much as I like funny ads, the ones that truly make it to my favorites list are those that evoke emotion. This ad is so effective. You have no idea what it is about until the very end, yet you pay attention. It is beautifully shot and very clever. It is also timely.</p>
<p><strong>This ad and YOUR personal brand:</strong> People make buying decisions based on emotion. Are you selling your services through a rational approach or are you connecting on an emotional level? Are you connecting your message to what is happening right now?</p>

<p>Commercial Break<br />
By William Arruda<br />
What can personal branders learn from TV advertisements? Take a break and take a peak.</p>
<p>IBM, Intel, GE &#8211; Three Related Commercials<br />
This commercial break is actually three in one!</p>
<p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-w0HnD8Oobg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-w0HnD8Oobg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object></p>
<p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/q-8GVi2Fdi4?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/q-8GVi2Fdi4?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object></p>
<p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0dcm4GNpRbY?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0dcm4GNpRbY?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x3a3a3a&amp;color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object></p>
<p><strong> I love these commercials because:</strong> I believe it is the human brand assets that make the difference between good companies and great companies. I also believe that the organizations that invest in their human capital (engaging and inspiring their people) receive an incredible return on that investment in terms of commitment, retention, and promotion. These ads show companies that understand that employees are becoming more and more important brand assets; these companies decided to showcase their employees – a great way to build emotional connections with viewers.</p>
<p><strong>These ads and YOUR personal brand:</strong> Do executives in your company say ‘employees are our greatest asset’ or do they believe it? How can you influence how your company looks at its talent? Are you engaged in your company’s mission?</p>
